How do I book a tour?

Click the “Book Now” button in the upper right-hand corner.

All tours must be booked in advance. Tickets close out 8pm the evening before the tour.

Can I book if I'm a single person?


Yes! We don’t have a minimum number for our tours. 



Where do we meet?

Once you book a tour online you will automatically receive a booking confirmation email which includes a map and instructions to the meeting point. We know Addis can be confusing, so all meeting places are known and easy to find locations.

Meeting points for all of our tours are in the southern part of town fairly close to the airport.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of people per tour?


We don’t have a minimum for our tours. Tours are meant to be intimate which means groups will never exceed 12 people (unless you arrange a private group tour), but our guide to customer ratio is usually around 1:4.


How far in advance do I need to book a tour?

Online ticket purchases close out at 8pm the day before for our Full Day Tour, 1/2 Day Highlight and our Sunrise Market Tour. Tickets for the Food Tour close out at midnight. For same day bookings please get in touch by email and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Is the food safe to eat?

We work with the restaurants we visit to ensure a high level of food safety. These restaurants have been tested (hundreds of times) both by Go Addis staff and by our many customers.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! Kids under 12 have discounted ticket prices, which are noted for each activity in the checkout process.

Does our tours still go if it rains?

Yep – tours run rain or shine! If it’s forecasted to rain (especially during the rainy season from June to September) we suggest you bring rain gear.

I have special dietary needs – can I still take a tour?

Of course! If you have specific dietary requirements please make sure to note them in the comment section of the checkout process.

Should I tip my guide?

Our guides work hard to make sure you’re happy. If you have a great time on the tour, please share the love – a 10% tip would be greatly appreciated.

What if I need to cancel a tour?

We know that unexpected things come up when traveling, so there is no penalty and a full refund for cancellations made more than 7 days in advance. For cancellations made 7 days to 72 hours in advance there is a 50% cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance.
